Business Adminstration Management (BAM) It focuses on how businesses are managed, organized, and operated effectively and also study of how organizations function, survive, and grow.
1. O’Level Requirements (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE)
You must possess at least four (4) credit passes obtained at not more than two sittings.
Compulsory Core Subjects
English Language (Literature-in-English or Oral English are usually not accepted as substitutes)
Mathematics
Economics or Commerce (Note: Many top federal and state polytechnics strictly demand Economics)
Elective Subjects (Choose any 1 to complete the 4 credits)
Financial Accounting / Principles of Accounts / Bookkeeping
Government / Civic Education / History
Geography
Business Methods / Business Studies
Office Practice
Biology / Agricultural Science
Data Processing / Computer Studies
2. JAMB UTME Subject Combination
When registering for your JAMB exam, you must choose the correct four-subject combination. Selecting the wrong subjects can invalidate your admission even if you score highly.
The required combination is:
Use of English (Compulsory)
Mathematics
Economics
Any one (1) of the following: Commerce, Government, Geography, History, or Principles of Accounts.
3. UTME Cut-Off Marks
While JAMB sets a general minimum baseline for polytechnics (typically around 100), our own institutions set their own specific merit targets based on competition:
Montgomery Polytechnic Ikere – Ekiti [MPI]: Frequently accept the baseline JAMB minimum of 100.
